S. L. Griffith has closed a contract with the New Home Sewing Machine Co., of Orange and others in Massachusetts to furnish them 2,800,000 feet of lumber. The New Home Sewing Machine contract was for 2,000,000 feet. Mr. Griffith leaves for Iowa Thursday where he will purchase two or three carloads of horses to use in his lumber business the coming winter. These with what he and the company, Griffith & McIntyre now have, will give them about 200 horses which they expect to work in their lumber business the coming season.
